What’s it all about?

Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest fraternal and charitable organisations. Its members come from all walks of life. As a mason you will meet and socialise with others from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances. For example, for some Freemasonry helps build confidence in public speaking; it strongly promotes team work both in its ceremonies and in the running and organisation of each lodge; for some it is simply an enjoyable social hobby. At its core though is a fraternal organisation that promotes high principles and charity in kind as well as through the hearts and minds of its members.
